NATIONAL SHEILAH WINN FESTIVAL (June 2024)

Pictured L to R: Nate Woods, Luke Rhodes, Isabel Wang

The three AshColl students were chosen at the Aoraki Regional festival at Craighead Diocesan earlier in term one, to perform at the National Festival.  From the Aoraki region, Ashburton College’s 5 minute student-directed piece was chosen along with Geraldine School’s 15 minute performance.

At the awards prize giving ceremony Isabel was given the Trinity College London “Speak the Speech” award, and on our return to Ashburton we were contacted by the CEO of SGCNZ to inform us that Isabel had been chosen to be part of the National Schools Shakespeare Production, one of only 47 chosen to take part in an intensive week long production exploration and performance, in the third term holidays.
